چکیده
Land degradation especially as a result of the rapid increase in demand and pressure population, have emerged one most important problems. Many model approaches, regarding land desertification, been developed continue to be on world. The MEDALUS (Mediterranean Desertification Use) which is famous models has for an environment assessment program contributed by 31 groups 10 countries 1999. This includes Environmental Sensitive Areas (ESA) index include climate, soil, use-land cover, management index. current study aims evaluate soil quality indexes using total data set (TDS) minimum (MDS) lands Konya Basin, arid semiarid terrestrial ecosystem, with approach. TDS consisted nine parameters measured 1019 samples: pH, Electrical Conductivity (EC), Organic Matter (OM), texture, CaCO3, depth, parent material, slope. In addition, Principal components analysis (PCA) was used determine were selected MDS. MDS slope, OM, CaCO3. After those process, different interpolation order create spatial distribution maps SQI (Soil Quality Index). Results classified 13.59% area low, while 84.110% area’ indicated moderate terms of. Accordingly MDS, it determined that 80.41% medium-quality category, only 2.01% high-quality category. area, seen similar set.

Evaluation of Soil Quality Based on Minimum Data Set in Karvan Rangeland, Isfahan, Iran
Plant life and food production for human closely depend on fertile and healthy soil. Knowledge about qualitative properties of soil and its potential production can contribute us in the plantation, fertilization, utilization and land management. In addition, Rangelands cover a very large portion of the earth's surface and play an important role in food security and other ecosystem services. The...

متن کاملVegetation–soil water interaction within a dynamical ecosystem model of grassland in semi-arid areas
A dynamical ecosystem model with three variables, living biomass, wilted biomass and available soil wetness, is developed to examine the vegetation–soil water interaction in semi-arid areas. The governing equations are based on the mass conservation law. The physical and biophysical processes are formulated with the parameters estimated from observational data. Both numerical results and qualit...
متن کاملSoil Clay Content Mapping Using a Time Series of Landsat TM Data in Semi-Arid Lands
Clay content (fraction < 2 μm) is one of the most important soil properties. It controls soil hydraulic properties like wilting point, field capacity and saturated hydraulic conductivity, which in turn control the various fluxes of water in the unsaturated zone. In our study site, the Kairouan plain in central Tunisia, existing soil maps are neither exhaustive nor sufficiently precise for water...
